Illustration Friday: Modify

It's been nearly two months since I've had time to participate in Illustration Friday. I never thought I'd miss a week, but hey, life happens.

I was overthinking today's word but then I 'modified' my thinking by keeping it simple. I've christened my new Moleskine from Marianne in the process!

Now please don't do this to your poodles at home.

Happy weekend everyone!!

I love this sketch. Do you ever watch the Dog Whisperer?? He had some lady on there that had dyed her dog pink. OMG I felt so sorry for that dog. I don't admire this poodle cut either for that matter. I do admire the sketch. Isn't it nice to be settled, sort of anyway. At least you are on the correct side of the country now.

this dog is very upset that he is dressed up in pink, and if he is a she then she is very upset that she did not get to pick her color because maybe she wanted to be blue or green and not pink but then again if you had painted a pink rabbit that would have been very nice so many this dog shouldn't stop whining and be grateful you painted him or her pink, and besides, you probably didnt paint this but you used pencils so maybe the dog doesn;t even know what he or she is talking about anyway.

right lololo?

sincerely yours,

It's good to see you back in IF!
Great watercolor, but I doubt if the dog is that happy in pink ;)

When I was a groomer, an inside joke was "it must be hard to be jolly when your pubes are on your head"....ok, it was an inside off color joke.

Oh this is too funny. Cute drawing.
I am so glad I was able to be of some help with the Mimosa tree's name. What color is it? We have light salmon pink and a hot pink here.

Glad you're back on IF. Lovely drawing but I agree, when it comes to dogs - natural's best.

Very nice! This illustrates "modify" well. I like the simple color scheme and the decorative blue spirals in the background.

Terrific! So full of fun and confidence, which one would need to strut with a cut like that!!

This is cute Laurel! Poor pooch! I once saw one coloured with a green and orange stripe down its back and to add insult to injury it was dressed in doggie sunglasses! Unbelievable, but in Hong Kong pooch fashion is big business!

I know a dog that would love this poodle. They could make spotted poodles or daloodles.

FUN! Great expression! Makes me want to see Elvira's movie again... she dolls her poodle up with a dye-job and studded leather.

Oh what a splendid illustration lolo. I'd hate to see a real poodle like that but this one looks great.

It was nice to hear from you again, Laurel. I, too, have been more absent from IF. I don't post as often as I did in the fist comple of years. As you said, life happens. I love your pink poodle.

Lolo! I know very well who you! I think you have a really cool bloggie name, by the way.

I've heard of people dying their dogs with Kool-aid, and I know of no reason to think it would harm the dog. Personally, I'm not into dying dogs, but I'm not opposed to it either. Paying people to breed dogs when so many of them can't find homes is another matter. I've done it, but I won't do it again.

I envy you artists, by the way. It must feel really great to be able to draw something other than stick-people.

Who you ARE, I meant to say. Proofread first, and then hit "publish." What CAN'T I remember the right order?

Snowbrush...My poor neglected Moleskine blog has had a new visitor! Thank you.

For some reason I don't get email notifications, they all go to my expired email address which I browse every month or so.
I'll have to see if I can make some changes.

I hope you're enjoying Brewsky!
