This isn't an official "Moleskine" entry. It's in another sketchbook that will have to share this blog. Anyway, I thought I'd do a sketch for Cactus Monday and while I was doing this I was struggling to stay awake. I've been working lots of hours and running around from home to home to take care of animals and I've been neglecting myself. For the first time EVER I actually fell asleep while drawing! See the "breath" sticker? That's where my pen went across the paper as I was fading and jarred myself awake! First I looked around to make sure there were no browsers in the studio watching me drool and draw, and then I let myself pack it in for the day and listen to my body, so I went home and took a nap! Sheesh. I guess this birthday was harder on me than I thought!
Happy Cactus Monday you guys!

I like the line work here especially. At least it wasn't a pen in the eye!
Hi! I love your Christmas cactus! It is very soft and feminine!!!
I love it! So kinetic and alive.
I'm so happy I looked at this blog. This piece is full of fun and whimsy. Love the dangling stars. Happy Belated birthday!! I hope you have caught up on sleep, but with moving....need I say more?
Hope you are happy and healthy.
Peace and joy to you and yours.
Hehehe. That is hilarious! So... I got really excited that you visited my blog cuz I found out we're somewhat neighbers. I'm from Seaside. So hooray for Monterey Bay artists!!!
beautiful!
i've been there… too many times… and i am way too old to continue pushing so hard but i just can't help it… thanks for the visit… i do hope you find some more time to post your work… it is truly wonderful…
Like this pretty yucca. Reminds me of my college days in Riverside, decades ago. Yucca were practically the county plant when I was there. I suspect housing has covered it all now.
