EEK...a mouse!

I love the expression "Don't sweat the small stuff." But what about little things that have an enormous impact on our fears even if there's no logic in it. I think there are a lot of elephants waiting to hear that explanation!

This is in response to Illustration Friday's topic, "Little Things."

Micron pen and cheap color markers on my much-loved Moleskine.

Oh, I'm glad I stopped by again. I didn't realize that you had another drawing here. What a wonderful illustration! and your take on the expression: simple, but also very deep! So nicely done!

Perfect illustration for this topic! This is grreat drawing and line work and the expression on the mouse is funnny. Is it really true that elephants are afraid of mice?

Wonderful drawing! That little mouse does look kind of menacing. :)

I think that your moleskin is coming along greatly. Great characters, nice line work. Do you like working in such a small space?

Funny thing, Ammon, I sometimes do have a hard time in the small space, but mostly I find it hard not to use acrylics all the time. I prefer laying down an acrylic wash and then doing something. The superstitious guy is one of my favorites. I guess I do like this one too, mostly because I'm happy with how the elephant turned out. I didn't have a photo reference for the "view" I needed! I must have seen enough ellie-butts in my life!

Acrylics! I was wondering if you were having issues with your colors leaking through the paper (I have that issue with watercolors and colored inks) but the acrylic makes sense.
